*Outside of University Village, personal wireless routers are not permitted on the network. Please connect to one of the networks below.
CSU-NET (For CSU Residents, Students, faculty, and staff)
This is the primary network that residents will connect wireless devices to outside of University Village. This network requires authentication to gain access. Users will authenticate using their CSU NetID. (If students have already connected to CSU-net on main campus they should not have to re-connect in the residence halls). All laptops, desktop computers, smartphones, and tablet devices should connect to this network.

CSU-Visitor
This is an open wireless network (no authentication is required) for use by gaming devices, streaming devices, guests, friends and family. This network detects the device type and applies a policy based on that type. Gaming and streaming devices are put into groups which remove any bandwidth restrictions. The gaming group also gives the device a public IP address to allow live chat and other gaming related features. Devices that are not automatically assigned will be restricted to 4MB/s download speeds.
This network is well suited for visiting parents, campus guests, and anyone that does not have a CSU NETID.
