On March 1st, 2024 the hds-staff network will be going away in all HDS associated buildings in favor of csu-net. During a recent change to the csu-net network by HDS Technology Services, logging into csu-net with either your NetID or HFS (computer login) credentials allows you to still keep your access to staff resources, all while still maintaining all the benefits of csu-net such as Wi-Fi calling! This guide will show you how to forget the hds-staff network to prevent any issues with its upcoming removal, as well as how to connect to csu-net as well as some additional troubleshooting if you're having issues connecting to csu-net. Forgetting the hds-staff network (Windows 11)
1. Click on your Wi-Fi icon in the bottom right of your toolbar.
2. Click the arrow next to the Wi-Fi symbol in that menu.
3. In that menu, select "More Wi-Fi settings" at the bottom of the window.
4. This should open up a Settings window. Now navigate over to "Manage known networks"
5. This page should populate with all networks your computer has connected to, if you see hds-staff in this list, select "Forget" on that right side to forget the network.
6. You may now either navigate back to the previous menu and select "Show available networks" or search for Wi-Fi networks via the icon in the bottom right of your screen.
7. csu-net should appear. Select csu-net and press "Connect", when prompted for a Username and Password, you may use either your NetID or HFS credentials.
- Note: If you are an active student at CSU in addition to working for HDS, you MUST use your HFS credentials in order to access any staff resources.
